What is creative writing in senior high school?
Subject Description: The course aims to develop practical and creative skills in reading and writing; introduce students to the fundamental techniques of writing fiction, poetry, and drama; and discuss the use of such techniques by well-known authors in a variety of genres..
A creative writing test is designed to evaluate students' writing skills, including their ability to structure a narrative, create vivid characters and settings, and use descriptive language effectively to convey their ideas.
The first step to teaching creative writing in secondary schools is getting your students excited about writing.
Why not start with a discussion about stories? It doesn't necessarily have to be a talk about books, allow your students to freely talk about their favourite stories, regardless of what form they take.
