Can a criminal justice degree help you get a job?

Lots of jobs are non specific about degree requirements, but that doesn't mean your criminal justice degree won't help you go farther, faster.
For example you can become a police officer with only an associates degree, or in some cases just a HS degree, but if you want to become a detective you pretty much have to have a BS.

CJ is a crappy degree in most cases, but it's better than no degree at all.
In all other cases, a degree in nearly anything else (STEM specifically) is going to be better than a CJ degree.

Where can I find a criminal investigator?

Federal government.
Besides DOJ and FBI, there are criminal investigators in all kinds of government offices.
Try searching on USAJobs.gov.
I suggest looking at the federal jobs subreddit or searching online for application tips; the experience can be daunting.
