As a matter of fact the name of the Ordinance itself is “ Criminal Law ( Amendment) Ordinance, 1944 ”.5..

After the Prevention of Corruption ( Amendment) Act, 2018 [Act 16/2018], whic..provisions of the Criminal Law Amendment Ordinance, 1944 shall, as far as may be, apply to the attachment, administration of attached property and execution of order of attachment of confiscation of..money or property procured by means of offence under this Act.

This Ordinance may be called the criminal Law Amendment Ordinance, 1944.
It extends? to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
It applies also to citizens of India outside india.
