Did pirates dance?

Oh, and if the pirates weren’t busy while they were singing, they’d often dance, too! Pirates had nothing against dancing, and it was a way to stay active aboard a cramped ship while having fun.
Many pirates even perfected their own personal dances.
Are you really that surprised? .

Did Pirates play music?

Pirates* definitely did play music and bring instruments with them.
The articles of Bartholomew Roberts' pirate crew say, "The musicians to have Rest on the Sabbath Day, but the other six Days & Nights, none without special Favour.".
Music was also a psychological warfare tactic the pirates used.

How do you teach pirate chants?

Pirate chants for elementary music classrooms.
Students memorize, perform and play the rhythms and chants.
This set of materials is perfect for stations and “social distance” teaching.
Print enough copies for all of the students using the mini cards and then have them all practice their parts.
Picture them spaced out in the classroom.

Why do Pirates nap?

Pirate ships usually spent a lot of time waiting along popular shipping lanes for prey.
As a result, long periods passed where pirates didn’t have much to do, at least until the wind changed.
It’s no surprise, then, that one of their favorite pastimes was napping! .

Overview of unlicensed radio broadcasts in the United Kingdom

Pirate radio in the United Kingdom has been a popular and enduring radio medium since the 1960s, despite expansions in licensed broadcasting, and the advent of both digital radio and internet radio.
Although it peaked throughout the 1960s and again during the 1980s/1990s, it remains in existence today.
Having moved from transmitting from ships in the sea to tower blocks across UK towns and cities, in 2009 the UK broadcasting regulator Ofcom estimated more than 150 pirate radio stations were still operating.
