Draves Test Method A standard lead weight attached to a copper hook with a string is then used to weigh the cut skein down and it is dropped into the cylinder. Timing begins when the weight touches the bottom of the cylinder and ends when the string becomes slack. Results are measured in seconds.
The Draves test consists of measuring the time required to wet a standard cotton skein in a 1g/L surfactant solution. In this comparison, we can see that the Exxal-based ethoxylate's wetting is significantly faster than the competitor.
