Resident Curriculum
The UCLA Dermatology resident curriculum devotes two half days per week to resident didactics and education, and includes faculty-led textbook review, dermatopathology review, hands-on practical training sessions, and journal club review of current literature.
Lectures are designed to cover the broad range of topics necessary for the training derma.

In addition to the traditional three-year clinical track, UCLA Dermatology also offers the Specialty Training and Research (STAR) Program for applicants interested in a career in research.
The STAR program provides physician-scientists entering our program with combined M.D./Ph.D. degrees a comprehensive clinical training integrated with a post-doc.
