Astrophysics degree requirements

Then comes graduate school
Which can take anywhere from five years for theorists up to seven or eight for experimentalists and observers.

I'm an instrument scientist (building instruments for telescopes) and find that having an engineering backround
In addition to an astrophysics degree helps me greatly.
Knowing why you're buliding an instrument makes it so much easier
And aids you in figuring out better ways of doing things.

All the courses applied to the astrophysics major must be taken for a letter grade

All students in baccalaureate degree programs are required to complete general University and college requirements, including writing and liberal education courses
