If you get a PhD in astrophysics there is no limit to the possibilities.
But there is a price:
You need at least 10 years of training in advanced mathematics
Advanced Physics and Astrophysics to became as Astrophysicist.
Competition is tremendous and unfair.
Jobs do not pay that well.

You need a good first degree in physics or astrophysics, then you will need to find a PhD position and do your PhD and then you will have to find one of of the few post docs

There are few professionals astrophysics, maybe less than 20000 world wide, job turnover is low, lots of people want to do it

One caution: A degree in astrophysics requires hard-core *physics*

It is not about reading cool popular magazines, gazing at stars, and pondering the Universe

You will need to be very strong in math and physics, as well as computing
