The Astronomy and Astrophysics Research Grants (AAG) Program is an inclusive and flexible funding opportunity to support research in the astronomical sciences.
The Program provides individual investigator and collaborative research grants for observational
and archival data studies in astronomy and astrophysics.

Astronomy and Astrophysics seeks to understand the composition
and fate of the Universe as well as celestial bodies within in it.
Observational studies use powerful telescopes on Earth and in space to observe comets
and the interstellar medium.

They also use data from current missions and use suborbital science investigations to advance NASA science goals.
Suborbital missions are an integral part of the R&A program
Sounding rocket and balloon campaigns which provide ancillary measurements
Demonstrate measurement technologies
and train future mission PIs and students.
