Everything you write must be seen through that camera: your perspective character’s eyes, ears, and mind

Here the story is still about he or she, but the narrator writes from the all-knowing, all-seeing perspective and is not even limited by time

If you think multiple perspectives is the way to go with your novel, here are my top tips to stay sane during the process and keep your readers happy: 1

Use chapter breaks for the switch

Your reader will get confused if you’re bouncing around too frequently or without any indication of a switch

Do not be afraid to change perspectives or mix perspectives up if necessary because sometimes books with multiple points of views give a much more thorough telling of the story

The important thing to remember is that only you know how the story goes and only you know which is the best path for your book to take
