If you can't decide between sizes, a 12-point font is usually the reliable choice because it's incredibly common in the business world.
Headings, on the other hand, can be larger than a 12-point font if you need to add emphasis.
Font sizes
Arial, Frutiger, Interstate and Helvetica are good examples.
Where an exception is made for a specific reason, a larger font size will need to be used.
Normal documents – such as letters and e-mails - will use at least 12 point text.
Gallery labels will use at least 16 point text as a minimum size.
In general, we recommend a good sans-serif font to avoid eye straining while reading large amounts of text at a distance.
Serif fonts can be used, but make sure it's designed for readability.
