The OECD Learning Framework 2030: Work-in-progress Students who are best prepared for the future are change agents. They can have a positive impact on their surroundings, influence the future, understand others' intentions, actions and feelings, and anticipate the short and long-term consequences of what they do.
Policy makers, researchers, school leaders, teachers, students and social partners from around the world worked together with the OECD from 2016 to 2018 to co-develop a vision of education and a learning framework that sets out the types of competencies today’s students need to thrive in and shape their future.
To move the needle and spark change, the Education 2030 includes physical and mental health as core foundations on its Education 2030 learning compass, as well as a focus on social, physical and psychological competencies that students will need to navigate the world of tomorrow (Figure 1.1). Figure 1.1.
