  • The ARR is the annual percentage return from an investment based on its initial outlay of cash.
    Another accounting tool, the required rate of return (RRR), also known as the hurdle rate, is the minimum return an investor would accept for an investment or project that compensates them for a given level of risk.

  • What's the difference between LIBOR and SOFR?

    The main difference between SOFR and LIBOR is how the rates are produced.
    While LIBOR is based on panel bank input, SOFR is a broad measure of the cost of borrowing cash overnight collateralized by U.S.
    Treasury securities in the repurchase agreement (repo) market.

    • ARRs are intended to provide a robust benchmark and serve as a more credible measurement of short term risk free borrowing. They are based on collateralizations including secured overnight repo rates in USD SOFR, and CHF SARON as well as unsecured overnight depo rates GBP SONIA, JPY TONA and EUR ESTR.
