1 This video will discuss arcpys Describe and List tools
The fields are returned from the Describe tool as a list of field objects A list of field objects can also be obtained using arcpy's ListFields method Use |
The Describe function returns a dictionary with multiple properties, such as data type, fields, indexes, and many others.
The dictionary's keys are dynamic, meaning that depending on what data type is described, different properties will be available for use.
In ArcGIS Pro, available data types that can be applied to a field include a variety of numerical types (integers, float, double), text, date only, timestamp offset, binary large objects (BLOB), and globally unique identifiers (GUIDs).
To turn all fields on or off, use the check box in the column header.
Set the display formatting for numeric and date field types.
Click the Determine display formatting for numeric and date field types button to open the Number Format dialog box.
