- General Procedures Introduction 2.1 Radiotelephony provides the means by which pilots of aircraft and ground personnel communicate with each other. To ensure communications are clear and fully understood it is of vital importance that transmissions by radiotelephony should comply with internationally agreed procedures and phraseology.
What is a transmitted radiotelephony message?
- A transmitted radiotelephony message will contain at least one of the elements listed but may contain all three elements if required. Pilots and ground personnel should be aware of the elements of each transmission to ensure only those elements that are required to be read back are transmitted.
Why is it important to comply with radiotelephony regulations?
- To ensure communications are clear and fully understood it is of vital importance that transmissions by radiotelephony should comply with internationally agreed procedures and phraseology.
