Is there a one-word answer in American Sign Language?
There is no such thing as a one-word answer or reply in American Sign Language. When responding to a question or state- ment, one-word replies are incomplete. Introductions in the Deaf community tend to include both first and last names. Often, new acquaintances know relatives or have friends in common.
Is sign language a single type?
The sign language is not of a single type, nowadays it has diversified and several modalities are used in different countries and they are distinguished from each other both in their grammar and in their lexicon and they come from the sign languages of Germany, France, Great Britain, among others.
Is learning sign language worth it?
