The Max Havelaar Foundation (Switzerland) was founded in 1992 by the six aid agencies Bread for all, Caritas, Fastenopfer, HEKS, Helvetas and Swissaid. As a national Fairtrade organisation, the Max Havelaar Foundation promotes the sale and consumption of Fairtrade certified products, but does not itself engage in trading.
