    What Is Vertex of Ellipse? The vertex of ellipse is a point at which it makes its maximum turn. A vertex of ellipse is the point of intersection of the ellipse with its axis of symmetry. The ellipse intersects its axis of symmetry at two distinct points, and hence an ellipse has two vertices.
