What are the 7 classifications of airspace?
There are two categories of airspace or airspace areas: Regulatory (Class A, B, C, D, and E airspace areas, restricted and prohibited areas).
Nonregulatory (military operations areas [MOA], warning areas, alert areas, controlled firing areas [CFA], and national security areas [NSA]).In most areas, the Class E airspace base is 1,200 feet AGL.
In many other areas, the Class E airspace base is either the surface or 700 feet AGL.
Some Class E airspace begins at an MSL altitude depicted on the charts, instead of an AGL altitude.
