Was hat die EU in Bezug auf Nahrungsmittel beschlossen?
In der EU dürfen keine Lebensmittel vermarktet werden, die eine inakzeptable Menge an Schadstoffen enthalten.
Für Lebensmittelkontaktmaterialien wie Materialien für den Transport oder die Verarbeitung von Lebensmitteln sowie für Verpackungsmaterialien und Geschirr gelten darüber hinaus eigene Vorschriften.Lebensmittelsicherheit umschreibt all jene überwachenden Prozesse, die sich der sicheren Zubereitung, Handhabung und Lagerung von Lebensmitteln widmen.
Das Ziel: Die Hygiene in der Lebensmittelproduktion wahren und somit lebensmittelbedingte Erkrankungen und Verletzungen auf Seiten des Endverbrauchers verhindern.
Wann gilt ein Lebensmittel als nicht sicher?
Art. 14 BasisVO – Anforderungen an die Lebensmittelsicherheit – lautet: (.
1) Lebensmittel, die nicht sicher sind, dürfen nicht in Verkehr gebracht wer- den. (.
2) Lebensmittel gelten als nicht sicher, wenn davon auszugehen ist, dass sie a) gesundheitsschädlich sind, b) für den Verzehr durch den Menschen ungeeignet sind.
