How do you write a lab report for a chemistry lab?
A lab report is broken down into eight sections: title, abstract, introduction, methods and materials, results, discussion, conclusion, and references.
The title of the lab report should be descriptive of the experiment and reflect what the experiment analyzed.What is the experimental section of a lab report?
Experimental (Materials and Methods)
Describe what materials, subjects, and equipment you used (Materials).
Explain the steps you took in your experiment and how did you proceed (Methods).
Mathematical equations and statistical tests should be described.References: Citations: A citation is what is put in the body of the paper to refer to the full bibliographic reference placed here at the end of the paper.
You may use either APA or MLA style of citations for there lab reports, whichever you are more comfortable with.
