What is in a Min Ovral ® tablet?
Each MIN-OVRAL® tablet contains Lactose, Magnesium Stearate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, and Polacralin Potassium. In addition to the above, the inert tablets in the 28-day regimen contain FD and C Red no. 3 Lake. MIN-OVRAL 21: Each package contains 21 white tablets. Each white tablet contains 150 μg levonorgestrel and 30 μg ethinyl estradiol.
What is Ovral L used for?
Ovral L is indicated for the prevention of pregnancy in women who elect to use an oral contraceptive. Ovral L is available in pack containing 21 active tablets.: Tablets must be taken in the order directed on the package every day at about the same time.
How does Ovral 21 work?
Although the primary mechanism of action is inhibition of ovulation, the effectiveness of OVRAL 21 Tablets (OVRAL®) may also result from other mechanisms of action, such as hostility of the cervical mucus to sperm penetration and migration.
Is Ovral a birth control pill?
OVRAL is a birth control pill (oral contraceptive) that contains two female sex hormones (norgestrel and ethinyl estradiol). It has been shown to be highly effective in preventing pregnancy when taken as prescribed by your doctor. Pregnancy is always more risky than taking birth control pills except in smokers older than age 35.
