What is anaerobic respiration?
Anaerobic respiration is when the body produces energy for exercise without oxygen. There are two types of anaerobic respiration that you need to know about. The immediate ATP-PC system and the Lactic Acid system. The aerobic system makes energy by burning fuel with oxygen.
How does the lactic acid system provide energy?
The Lactic Acid system provides energy for up to a minute., after which, it burns out. Then we need oxygen or we become out of break or tired. ATP: Adenosine triphosphate molecule. ATP is a high-energy molecule that breaks down in the muscles to form ADP and release energy.
What is a lactic anaerobic system?
The alactic anaerobic system, which consists of high energy phosphates, adenosine triphosphate, and creatine phosphate; and The lactic anaerobic system, which features anaerobic glycolysis. High energy phosphates are stored in limited quantities within muscle cells.
