  • How do you write a conditional sentence with a 0 tense?

  • What is a conditional 0 if it rains?

    Zero conditional (type 0): I take my umbrella if it rains. First conditional (type 1): I'll call you if I work late. Second conditional (type 2): If the bus didn't arrive on time, I would drive you to the airport. Third conditional (type 3): She wouldn't have come if I hadn't invited her.

  • What is the form of conditionals?

    Note on the form of type 1 conditionals:  The most commonly used form is: If + simple present + „ll‟ future If it rains, we‟ll stay at home However this type can be used after if, not just the simple present.  In this type, IF is followed by present tenses, and only exceptionally by SHALL or WILL.

  • How are conditionals used?

    Look at these examples to see how zero, first and second conditionals are used. If you freeze water, it becomes solid. If it rains tomorrow, I'll take the car.     Zero conditional refers to facts. First conditional and Second conditional refer to the present or future. However second conditional sentences suggest it is less probable or imaginary. Third conditional refers to the past. There are MORE than these 4 types of conditional sentences though these are the ones that are used the most.

  • What is the correct tense for a zero conditional sentence?

    First, when using the zero conditional, the correct tense in both clauses is the simple present tense. A common mistake is to use the simple future tense. When people smoke cigarettes, their health will suffer. Second, notice that the words if and when can be used interchangeably in these zero conditional sentences.
