What is Harassment and Inappropriate Conduct? Harassment: Harassment is unwelcome deliberate or repeated unsolicited verbal or physical conduct that is based upon protected class status (race color religion sex national origin age and disability) |
Who should report harassment during the application process?
Any applicants for employment with the Department who believe that they have been subjected to harassing conduct during the application process should report the incident to the WECO for OASAM. The Department's harassment policy applies equally to employees, applicants for employment, and DOL contract employees.
How do you document a substantiated harassment?
Document an offender’s substantiated harassment, by type (e.g., conduct that detracts from an efficient workplace, EEO unlawful discriminatory harassment, and criminal harassment), in the DoD Component’s appropriate personnel records system.
Can signing statements displace legislative power?
Under Article 1 of the Constitution, legislative power is vested in Congress and any president must give full respect to that provision. This means that signing statements cannot be used to displace legislative power or to intrude on Congress’ constitutional authority.
What happens if a person is harassed?
The individual subjected to the harassment will be notified of the measures taken to resolve the matter, subject to applicable privacy laws, regulations, and policies, including the Privacy Act of 1974, DoDI 5400.11, and DoD 5400.11-R.
