Was ist 22q11?
Die Erkrankung
An einer bestimmten Stelle im Erbgut, die man „22q11“ bezeichnet, ist ein sehr kleines Stück Erb- information verloren gegan- gen – ungefähr 40 Gene feh- len.
Meist geschieht das rein zufällig.
Warum das passiert, ist nicht bekannt.
Was ist der häufigste Gendefekt?
Trisomie 21, 18 und 13
Trisomien sind die beim Menschen am häufigsten auftretende Chromosomenstörung.
Wie häufig ist das DiGeorge-Syndrom?
Bei dem DiGeorge-Syndrom, auch Deletionssyndrom 22q11, fehlt ein kleines Stück Erbinformation auf dem 22.
Chromosom.
Wesentlich unbekannter als andere Gendefekte, ist das Syndrom gar nicht so selten: Etwa 1 von 4000 Neugeborenen ist von diesem Gendefekt betroffen._{7 déc. 2020}
Die betroffenen Säuglinge mit mit DiGeorge-Syndrom haben tief angesetzte Ohrmuscheln, mediane Gesichtsspalten, ein kleines, fliehendes Kinn, Hypertelorismus, ein verkürztes Philtrum, Entwicklungsverzögerung und angeborene Herzerkrankungen.

An einer bestimmten Stelle im Erbgut, die mit "22q11" bezeichnet wird, ist ein sehr kleines Stück Erbinformation verloren gegangen. Meist passiert das rein zufällig. Eine Vererbung der Veränderung von einem Elternteil auf das Kind ist in etwa 15 von 100 Fällen nachweisbar.
