What is a tremolo harmonica?
Each hole in a tremolo harmonica has two reeds tuned to the same note but slightly apart. When played, the two reeds produce a vibrating or “tremolo” effect, giving this harmonica its name. This effect is similar to the natural vibrato of singers or string instruments. There are various types of tremolo harmonicas based on their number of holes.
