Pourquoi prendre Claforan ?
CLAFORAN est habituellement prescrit pour :
Infection sévère sauf méningite à Listeria monocytogenes.
Septicémie.
Endocardite.
Méningite à l'exclusion de celle à Listeria monocytogenes.
Comment injecter le Claforan ?
Diluer Claforan 1000 mg dans 4 ml d'eau pour préparations injectables.
En cas d'injection IV, injecter lentement le contenu d'un flacon de Claforan pendant 3 à 5 minutes.
En cas de traitement combiné avec des aminoglycosides, ne pas mélanger Claforan dans la même seringue ni dans le même liquide de perfusion.
Quelle maladie soigne la céfotaxime ?
Ce médicament est indiqué dans : · le traitement d'infections sévères, en particulier les septicémies, les endocardites et les méningites, · la prévention des infections lors des résections endoscopiques de prostate.
· aux infections sévères dues aux germes sensibles au céfotaxime, en particulier les septicémies, les endocardites et les méningites, à l'exclusion de celles à Listeria monocytogenes. · à la prophylaxie des résections endoscopiques de prostate.

What Is Claforan?
Claforan is a cephalosporin (SEF a low spor in) antibiotic. Claforan is used to treat many kinds of bacterial infections, including severe or life-threatening forms. This medicine is also used to prevent infection in people having certain types of surgery. Claforan may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Warnings
You should not use Claforan if you are allergic to Claforan or another cephalosporin antibiotic (cefdinir, cefalexin, Keflex, Omnicef, and others).

You should not use Claforan if you have ever had a severe allergic reaction to any type of cephalosporin antibiotic (cefdinir, cefalexin, Keflex, Omnicef, and others). What Happens If I Miss A dose?

Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222. Overdose symptoms may include weakness, cold feeling, pale skin, blue lips, or seizure (convulsions).
What Should I Avoid While Using Claforan?
Antibiotic medicines can cause diarrhea, which may be a sign of a new infection. If you have diarrhea that is watery or bloody, call your doctor. Do not use anti-diarrhea medicine unless your doctor tells you to.

What is the dosage of Claforan?

What is the difference between cefotaxime and Claforan?

CLAFORAN, equivalent to 1 gram and 2 grams cefotaxime, is supplied as frozen, premixed, iso-osmotic injections in plastic containers. Solutions range from very pale yellow to light amber. Dextrose Hydrous, USP has been added to adjust osmolality (approximately 1.7 g and 700 mg to the 1 g and 2 g cefotaxime dosages, respectively).
