Why is Pisa important?
It provides the most comprehensive and rigorous international assessment of student learning outcomes to date. Results from PISA indicate the quality and equity of learning outcomes attained around the world, and allow educators and policy makers to learn from the policies and practices applied in other countries.
What is the Pisa 2022 assessment and analytical framework?
This chapter introduces the PISA 2022 Assessment and Analytical Framework. It describes what makes PISA unique, the key features of the PISA 2022 test, an overview of what is assessed in each domain, the evolution of reporting student performance and the context questionnaires. Finally, it presents how PISA is the result of a collaborative effort.
How many students completed Pisa 2022?
PISA 2022 also included an assessment of young people’s financial literacy, which was optional for countries and economies. Some 690 000 students completed the assessment in 2022, representing about 29 million 15-year-olds in the schools of the 81 participating countries/economies.
