  • What was the population in 1300?

    World Population:
    In 1300 AD, there were between 360 and 432 million people in the world.

  • What was the population of Europe in 1348?

    It is generally assumed that the size of Europe's population at the time was around 80 million.
    This implies that that around 50 million people died in the Black Death.

  • How many people were in Europe in the 1300s?

    Demographic and agricultural growth.
    It has been estimated that between 1000 and 1340 the population of Europe increased from about 38.5 million people to about 73.5 million, with the greatest proportional increase occurring in northern Europe, which trebled its population.
