How do I learn the web animations API?
One of the more familiar ways to approach learning the Web Animations API is to start with something most web developers have played with before: CSS Animations. CSS Animations have a familiar syntax that breaks down nicely for demonstration purposes.
What is a CSS Animation API?
This API was designed to underlie implementations of both CSS Animations and CSS Transitions, and leaves the door open to future animation effects. It is one of the most performant ways to animate on the Web, letting the browser make its own internal optimizations without hacks, coercion, or Window.requestAnimationFrame ().
What is a JavaScript animation?
JavaScript animations can handle things that CSS can’t. For instance, moving along a complex path, with a timing function different from Bezier curves, or an animation on a canvas. An animation can be implemented as a sequence of frames – usually small changes to HTML/CSS properties.
Is there a way to create a GIF like image with JavaScript?
Is there a way to create a gif like image with javascript based on some png or jpg? Just a simple code that change one image for another, creating the impression of a animation, just like a gif. Syntax

Parameters keyframes Either an array of keyframe objects, or a keyframe object whose properties are arrays of values to iterate over. Rotating and scaling In this example we use the animate() method to rotate and scale an element. Down the Rabbit Hole demo In the demo Down the Rabbit Hole (with the Web Animation API), we use the convenient animate() method to immediately create and play an animation on the #tunnel element to make it flow upwards, infinitely.
