Annex 17 – Security. Annex 17 (Security) to the Chicago Convention includes a set of Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) relative to aviation security and acts of unlawful interference.
What is ICAO Annex 15?
The goal is to satisfy the need for uniformity and consistency in the provision of aeronautical information/data that is required for the operational use by international civil aviation. The ICAO Council first adopted the original Standards and Recommended Practices in 1953. Annex 15 has its origins in Article 37 of the Chicago Convention.
When did annex 12 come out?
Proposals for Annex 12 were originally made in 1946. By 1951, the proposals had been reviewed and revised to meet international civil aviation requirements, and were embodied as Standards and Recommended Practices in the first edition of Annex 12.
