How do I transfer a token from Apple business manager to MDM?
Well before a token is about to expire, sign in to Apple Business Manager, generate and download a new token for the MDM server and transfer that token to the MDM server for immediate installation. See your MDM vendor’s documentation for information about how to transfer the token.
How do I add a testmdmserver server to Apple business manager?
Add an MDM server called TestMDMServer and download the server token for it in Apple Business Manager. For details and instructions, see Link to a third-party MDM server (opens Apple Business Manager User Guide). Save the server token locally as a P7M file (.p7m). Then continue to Step 2: Assign devices.
Overview
Third-party mobile device management (MDM) solutions assign content to devices or users by communicating with Apple Business Manager. For your MDM solution to link and communicate, a content token is required. Contact your MDM vendor for specific information about installing the token in your MDM solution. The following events invalidate the token: •Annual expiration: Content token expire annually, so make note of your token’s renewal date upon linking. To avoid interruption of service, remember to download an updated token and upload it to your organization’s MDM solution before your current token expires. support.apple.com
Download a content token
1.In Apple Business Manager , sign in with a user that has the role of Administrator or Content Manager. 2.Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, select Preferences , then select Payments & Billing . 3.Under Content Tokens, select the token name where the MDM server is assigned. 4.Consult your MDM vendor’s documentation to upload the content token.
