How do I file an appeal in Arizona?
A party to a superior court judgment may take an appeal by filing a notice of appeal with the clerk of the superior court that entered the judgment.
The party must file the notice of appeal within the time provided by Rule 9(a).What counties are in Division One court of appeals in Arizona?
Division 1 consists of Maricopa, Yuma, La Paz, Mohave, Coconino, Yavapai, Navajo and Apache counties.
Division 2 consists of Pima, Pinal, Cochise, Santa Cruz, Greenlee, Graham and Gila counties.Which appeals court is Arizona in?
Arizona has two appellate courts: the court of appeals is the intermediate appellate court and the Supreme Court is the court of last resort.
The court of appeals was established in 1965 as the first level of appeal up from superior court.Motions may be made orally in open court or by filing and serving the opposing party with a copy of a written motion.
Pretrial motions shall be ruled on before trial.
A court shall not rule on any motion until the opposing party has had a reasonable opportunity to respond.
