An Author's Note provides additional information about authors, study registration, data sharing, disclaimers or statements regarding conflicts of interest, and help or funding that supported the research.How do you write an author's note?
The author's note comes after the core text as a short statement of a couple of paragraphs; the core text should remain the main component of the writing.
Write in plain language.
Write in the first-person point of view using personal pronouns, such as “I ” and “my ”.How do you cite a note in APA?
Note: Your own notes from a lecture are considered personal communications in APA style.
They are cited within the text of your assignment, but do not get an entry on the Reference list.
Put the citation right after a quote or paraphrased content from the class lecture.For every in-text citation in your paper, there must be a corresponding entry in your reference list.
APA in-text citation style uses the author's last name and the year of publication, for example: (Field, 2005).
For direct quotations, include the page number as well, for example: (Field, 2005, p. 14).
