Does Pyro-Guard® contain VOCs?
PYRO-GUARD® fire-retardant-treated wood is kiln dried after treatment (KDAT) to maximum moisture content of 19% for lumber and 15% for plywood. PYRO-GUARD® does not contain VOC’s, urea formaldehyde or forma ldehyde, halogens, sulfates, chlorides, or ammonium phosphate.
Does re-drying affect the structural properties of Pyro-Guard® FRT lumber?
The effects of treatment and re-drying, and exposure to high temperature and high humidity on the structural properties of PYRO-GUARD® FRT lumber has been evaluated in accordance with ASTM D5664 as required by Section 2303.2.5.2 of the 2015 and 2012 IBC, Section R802.1.5.7 of the 2015 IRC, and Section R802.1.3.5.2 of the 2012 IRC.
