Creating a BACS transfer file
1Click on the Payrun icon.
2) Go to the Payments menu and select BACS Transfers, then Create a BACS Transfer File.
3) Ensure these are correct before creating the file.
4) Select the file format you wish to create from the Type of Transfer File drop-down.
What is an example of a Bacs payment?
There are two main Bacs payment types, characterised either by: Direct Debit: When you have given another party permission to take money from your bank account.

What is Bacs file format?
A BACS file starts with a VOL1 block followed by one or more batches.
Every batch consists of a HDR1 block, optionally a HDR2 block, a mandatory UHL1 block with transactions and at least one CONTRA block.
The batch ends with an optional EOF1 and EOF2 block and a mandatory UTL1 block.
