What is the Summer Reading Challenge 2023?
The 2023 challenge, Ready, Set, Read was themed around the power of play, sport and games.
By reading six library books, children helped a fictional superstar team (and their marvellous mascots) weave their way through a summer obstacle course.The Summer Reading Challenge encourages children to keep reading during the school summer holidays - and to choose anything they enjoy to read It's free to take part and children can sign up at their local library or online.
They'll be invited to set a reading goal, and collect rewards for their reading.
What age is Summer Reading Challenge for?
The Summer Reading Challenge is a free reading for pleasure programme designed for children between the ages of 4 and 11.
The Summer Reading Challenge reaches over 700,000 children across the UK each year and is delivered in partnership with public libraries.
Are you allowed to read books at Barnes and Noble?
Barnes & Noble will not kick you out for reading books in the store, though they may ask you to move if you're blocking an isle.
I would suggest being considerate and not hogging a table all day when there are people holding cups of coffee and bagels with nowhere to sit.
