How much does CO2 e cost in Australia?
The scheme only applied to facilities which emit more than 25,000 tonnes CO 2 -e per year, and did not apply to agriculture or to transport fuels. The carbon price was set at AUD $23 per tonne of emitted CO 2 -e on selected fossil fuels consumed by major industrial emitters and government bodies such as councils.
