How to book hepatitis A vaccine?

Information: If you are travelling abroad, get advice from a travel clinic, GP, nurse, or pharmacist before you go.Inactivated hepatitis A vaccines are prepared by methods including growth in cell culture, purification by ultrafiltration or other methods, inactivation with formalin, and adsorption to an aluminum hydroxide adjuvant.
How long does a Hep A vaccine last?
The vaccination against hepatitis A is usually given as a single initial injection, with a second dose 6 to 12 months later.
Two doses should protect you for at least 25 years.
What is the schedule for the hepatitis vaccine?
The vaccine is given at 0, 1 and 6 months.
The third dose is needed for complete, long-term protection.
If an alternative schedule is considered, ensure that a 4th booster dose is given at 1 year to provide maximum, long term protection.
