Why is Airbus celebrating the launch of the Delta A220?
Airbus is also celebrating the launch of this particular A220. That's because Delta's first A220-300 — N302DU — is also the first U.S.-built A220. It was manufactured in Mobile, Alabama, following a trade dispute between Boeing and Bombardier that led to a decision by Airbus to open a new plant there.
How many seats does a Delta A220 have?
Delta’s version of the A220 has a total of 109 seats, including 12 first class seats, 15 Comfort+ seats, and 82 economy seats. It features seatback entertainment at every seat and high-speed Gogo 2Ku Wi-Fi. Seats in economy are an impressive 18.6″ wide, making them the widest economy seats of any narrowbody.
