Central air conditioners circulate cool air through a system of supply and return ducts.
Supply ducts and registers (i.e., openings in the walls, floors, or ceilings covered by grills) carry cooled air from the air conditioner to the home.What is the difference between AHU and FCU in HVAC?
This is a common question that can be easily confused since both involve the movement and cooling of air.
An air handling unit (AHU) operates by bringing in fresh air from the outside, while a fan coil unit (FCU) generally recirculates and conditions the air in an interior space.What is the difference between central and local HVAC systems?
Central HVAC systems contain all-air, air-water, all-water systems.
Two systems should be considered as central such as heating and cooling panels and water-source heat pumps.
Local HVAC systems can be located inside a conditioned zone or adjacent to it and no requirement for ductwork.1Step 1: Heat is absorbed by the evaporator coil.
