What is the GDMT algorithm?
The algorithm identifies specific HFrEF GDMT medications approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
The algorithm outputs medication optimization recommendations for each GDMT drug class.
The algorithm also provides a medication optimization score (MOS).GDMT has traditionally been implemented by starting the four drug classes in the consecutive order by which they were added to the guidelines, meaning starting ACEi first, then BB, followed by MRA, changing ACEi to ARNi, and lastly, initiating SGLT2i.
