  • What is FroDO from detection to 3D objects?

    We introduce FroDO, a method for accurate 3D reconstruction of object instances from RGB video that infers their location, pose and shape in a coarse to fine manner.
    Key to FroDO is to embed object shapes in a novel learnt shape space that allows seamless switching between sparse point cloud and dense DeepSDF decoding.

  • Our three-dimensional reconstruction techniques can also be used in art analysis and restoration, phenotype analysis, film, television and game graphics, design, criminal investigations, and more.
    We've been creating 3D reconstruction algorithms and software for nearly three decades.

  • What are the steps in 3D reconstruction?

    The main steps of 3D reconstruction include image acquisition, image selection, feature point extraction and matching, calculation of camera parameters and 3D coordinates of the scene, and production of dense 3D scene models.
    Of all the steps, the image selection step is necessary and important.
