What is CBP Form 5106 for?
The Create/Update Importer Identity Form (CBP Form 5106) is the form used to create or update importers' unique identification information within CBP's systems, per 19 CFR 24.5.
Importer Eligibility Requirements
Have and maintain an active U.S.
Importer of record (IOR) number in one of the following formats: U.S.
Social Security Number, Internal Revenue Service assigned ID(s), or CBP assigned Importer ID.

How do I change the importer of a record?
