What is a CFT in physics?
It will turn out that one of the main objects of interest in a CFT is the spectrum of weights (h, h) ̃ of primary fields. This will be equivalent to computing the particle mass spectrum in a quantum field theory. In the context of statistical mechanics, the weights of primary operators are the critical exponents.
How does CFT affect magnetic properties?
CFT qualitatively describes the strength of the metal-ligand bonds. Based on the strength of the metal-ligand bonds, the energy of the system is altered. This may lead to a change in magnetic properties as well as color. This theory was developed by Hans Bethe and John Hasbrouck van Vleck.
What is the difference between CFT and Lft?
The major advantage of CFT is that it is simple. Ligand Field Theory (LFT) is more advanced in that it is rooted in molecular orbital theory. It is more complex, but it is also more correct. LFT will not only get you to the correct answer more often, but it is also based on accurate ideas (as far as we know).
What is the difference between CFT and ligand field theory?
Because the model makes effective use of molecular symmetry, it can be surprisingly accurate in describing the magnetism, colors, structure, and relative stability of metal complexes. The major advantage of CFT is that it is simple. Ligand Field Theory (LFT) is more advanced in that it is rooted in molecular orbital theory.
