La teoría oficial afirma que Colón fue un genovés hijo de una familia de tejedores, pero en los últimos años otras tesis sostienen que puede proceder de diversas partes de España, pero otras muchos apuntan a lugares como Portugal, Croacia e incluso Polonia.

BIOGRAFIA: Cristóbal Colón (lugar discutido, c. 1436-1456[1] - Valladolid, España, 20 de mayo de 1506) fue un navegante, cartógrafo, almirante, virrey y gobernador general de las Indias al servicio de la Corona de Castilla, famoso por haber realizado el denominado descubrimiento de América, en 1492.

Desde pequeño, su gran sueño es recorrer los numerosos mares y océanos en busca de otros mundos.
Finalmente, sus deseos y esfuerzos se ven recompensados con el Descubrimiento de América el 12 de octubre de 1492.
