Can I use Ciprofloxacin ophthalmic If I am allergic?
You should not use ciprofloxacin ophthalmic if you are allergic to ciprofloxacin or other fluoroquinolones ( gemifloxacin, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin, ofloxacin, norfloxacin, and others). Do not use this medicine to treat a viral or fungal infection in the eye. Ciprofloxacin ophthalmic is for use in treating only bacterial infections of the eye.
How do you use Ciprofloxacin ointment?
Ointment: 0.5-in. (1.25-cm) ribbon applied into conjunctival sac q8hr on days 1-2, then 0.5-in. (1.25-cm) ribbon q12hr on days 3-7 Solution: 2 drops q15min for 6 hours, then 2 drops q30min for remainder of day 1, then 2 drops q1hr on day 2, and finally 2 drops q4hr on days 3-14 Ciprofloxacin precipitate in superficial portion of corneal defect
Can you put contact lenses back in after taking ciprofloxacin?
Talk with your doctor to see if contact lenses may be put back in after you use this medicine (ciprofloxacin eye drops). Do not put contacts back in if your eyes are irritated or infected. Tilt your head back and drop drug into the eye. After use, keep your eyes closed. Put pressure on the inside corner of the eye. Do this for 1 to 2 minutes.
What is ciprofloxacin eye drops used for?
Ciprofloxacin eye drops is also used to treat corneal ulcers of the eye. Ciprofloxacin belongs to a group of medicines called fluoroquinolone antibiotics. It works by killing bacteria that cause conjunctivitis. This medicine is available only with your doctor's prescription.

The dose of this medicine will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor's orders or the directions on the label.
