Do I need to submit a design request to Con Edison?
Any indoor installation, service head valves, pressure regulators (where required), meters and associated valves plans designs requests must be submitted to and approved, in writing, by Con Edison. Entire section of guidelines was rewritten by Gas Engineering to clarify Con Edison position on gas service requirements. Refer to pages 34 through 41.
Does Con Edison require a pressure test affidavit?
Gas Service Authorization or Blue Card will be required. The Pressure Test Verification Affidavit can be found on the Con Edison Energy Services Resource web-site located at or refer to Applications and Affidavits | Con Edison or in the Exhibits at the end of this book. Requires a Meter Piping Pressure Test and OQ Affidavit.
