conflict theory of family
Is there a social conflict approach to family studies?
The central thesis of this paper was that it was finally time to “officially discover” the social conflict approach to the study of the family—an approach that seemed to us to be very much implicit within and relevant to the field of family studies.
What is conflict theory?
Conflict theory is particularly interested in the various aspects of master status in social position—the primary identifying characteristic of an individual seen in terms of race or ethnicity, sex or gender, age, religion, ability or disability, and socio-economic status.
